The Sandoval County Detention Center securely houses inmates being held on charges in a variety of jurisdictions. The Center operates under specific rules for the protection of staff, inmates, visitors and the community. Inmate visitations are allowed only by appointment. For information, call the Detention Center, 867-5339, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday - Friday. Money for inmates must be in the form of money orders and must be mailed to the Center, 1100 Montoya Road, Bernalillo, NM 87004. Personal checks will not be accepted. Inmates are allowed telephones to contact bonding agencies. Friends or relatives may contact the Center's Booking Section, 867-5339, for information on the inmate's bond eligibility and the bonding amount required. Detention Center personnel, however, are prohibited from providing information about individual bonding agencies.
